Hello! and welcome to Archy’s site.

Archy the Flying Dolphin & The Vampire's Curse was born one sunny Sunday afternoon while I was lazing in the garden with my ginger cat, Archie. I simply imagined a beautiful dolphin flying gracefully through the clear blue sky with a little boy and girl sitting on its back, enveloped by a magical bubble, and wondered…where could they be going?..what exciting adventure could they be about to experience? I have to tell you, the answers came so fast you could say the story simply fell from the sky.

Currently I live in South Wales, UK with my wife and son in a Victorian house that is sandwiched between a lovely little town and some beautiful walks. And yes, just like in the book, I live near the coast were there are many sandy beaches.

Being brought up in the chaotic world of showbiz - my father was an agent/manager – we were constantly on the move and it was so exciting. I didn’t know who was going to knock on our front door next. I love being surround by talented vibrant people...there's always a buzz, a feeling of adventure. As a boy, I often found myself sitting in a dressing room being given worldly advice by some celebrity.

Although I was always a creative child, I didn’t start writing until I was in my mid twenties. But it wasn’t long before I won a short story competition followed by a theatre script contest and gained a lot of interest from major publishers. So as you can imagine, I got the writing bug pretty bad.

It was screenwriting guru Syd Field who encouraged me to publish Archy the Flying Dolphin. I met him at UCL. He was convinced I had a terrific idea, one that kids would love. And indeed, the response I’ve received so far from the stack of e-mails, from children of all ages, even grandmas, proves that Syd was absolutely right.
